Outboard Engine Revolving Fund
Completed
Pate Island
At Pate Marine Community Conservancy (PMCC), our commitment to supporting the livelihoods of local fishermen led us to launch the Outboard Engine Revolving Fund. In various locations across our conservancy, we successfully implemented a transformative project that left a lasting impact on our community.
14 Boats, 70 Lives Transformed:
Through the Outboard Engine Revolving Fund, we provided a total of 14 boats, benefiting 70 local fishermen. This initiative was more than just a provision of resources; it was a game-changer for these fishermen and their families. These boats not only became the vessels of their livelihood but also the vessels of hope for a brighter, more sustainable future.
Improved Livelihoods:
The tangible benefits of this initiative were profound. Local fishermen had access to modern and efficient boats that enabled them to increase their catch and operate in a more sustainable manner. This not only boosted their income but also provided economic security to their families.
Sustainable Fisheries Management:
Beyond enhancing the lives of fishermen, the Outboard Engine Revolving Fund contributed significantly to the sustainable management of our fisheries. By providing these modern boats, we empowered our fishermen to engage in responsible fishing practices, ensuring that our marine resources were conserved for future generations.
A Beacon of Community Empowerment:
The success of the Outboard Engine Revolving Fund stood as a testament to our commitment to community empowerment. It was a story of how the right support can transform lives, protect the environment, and drive sustainable development.
